The surge of female MMA fighters turning to OnlyFans shouldn’t be a surprise. Top stars like Cris Cyborg have enormous social-media followings, and they’re cashing in on that popularity by turning to the famed subscription site.


But as is always the case with OnlyFans, you never know what you’re getting until you subscribe. You might see your favorite fighter posting skimpy swimsuit photos and selling more explicit videos in the DMs. Others, however, keep it PG, using the site to chat with fans and post life updates that aren’t all that different from what they offer for free on TikTok/Instagram/Twitter.


Many female fighters debuted on OnlyFans during the pandemic. Cindy Dandois, for example, used it to fundraise for the reopening of her gym, whereas early adopters like Bec Rawlings spoke candidly about needing the cash to stay afloat, which sparked wider conversations about pay inequality in combat sports.

In her case, the risk was launching her OnlyFans. It paid off: The cash she earned helped pay off her debt, and she was able to reopen the gym she was previously forced to close.
