Growing up in the 1970s meant riding your bike to your friend's house, driving to high school in your muscle car, and heading home to your single family home with a garage.
Freedom meant having a future where all these things continued to be true and then some. Unfortunately, those 1970s promises are all broken.
While some wishes did come true, here are 21 1970s dreams that didn't.
