Turns out, just about anything is welcome on the open road if it has wheels and turn signals.
The highway is a dangerous place, and passenger safety is supposed to be important. But some car companies have developed ways to get road-trippers speeding through lanes in strange, rickety contraptions.
There’s a car narrow enough to slip between trucks, a European four-wheeler that looks more like a lawn mower, and even a microcar with one headlight that barely fits one person.
