For over two decades, Paul North's cartoons have been a constant presence in The New Yorker, anchoring his wide-ranging creative career. He describes cartooning as the “pilot light” that ignites his other artistic pursuits. Known for his distinctive approach—minimalist visuals paired with sharp, surreal humor—Paul has left an unmistakable mark on readers.
His talents extend far beyond the page. He’s co-created a variety of short animated segments for Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Saturday Night Live, Adult Swim, and Nickelodeon. Paul also wrote and illustrated the middle-grade book series How to Sell Your Family to the Aliens for Bloomsbury, and he’s helped develop several educational comics now used in classrooms across the country.
