Office Space
When Office Space came out in 1999, it was heralded as an uncomfortably-accurate parody of the monotony of office life. Now, over 25 years later, the workplace is a little different, but the movie, unfortunately, still rings true.
While cubicle culture might have gone the way of the Dodo, the modern office is still filled with layers of middle managers, endless useless tasks that see no short- or long-term reward, office printers that somehow still don’t work and higher-ups that like listening to themselves talk more than they do getting any actual work done.
Hey, maybe that will change in another 25 years. Who knows? But for the time being, you can be reminded of just how much the office sucks with the smooth-yet-emotionally-grating tones of Bill Lumbergh.
By the way, have you gotten around to those TPS reports?
