After a Shitty Day of Air Travel, Experts Warn That Every Day of Air Travel Is Going to Be Shitty From Now On
If you’ve had a bad experience at the airport recently, well, that’s just how it’s going to be from now on.
On Monday, Newark Liberty International Airport experienced just about everything that can go wrong during air travel — massive delays, planes grounded for hours, flights unable to land and more. But, if you think that’s bad, I’ve got some shitty news: That’s kind of just how it’s going to be from now on.
As this news report shows, while some of Newark’s issues can be attributed to the fact that it had an equipment malfunction, a lot of it can also be chalked up to both the airport and the FAA not having enough staff to keep things properly moving. Plus, as these jobs require a fair bit of training, we can’t just “hire more” (not that anyone is making any real effort to do so anyway).
So, if you’re planning on traveling soon, you might want to get to the airport a little early — like, two or three days early.
