Australia has a problem: its citizens. The people of Australia love to party, and while the Aussies are, in contrast to the British, pretty delightful drunks, it can still pose a problem when a significant portion of your population is always lingering around .08 BAC.

This is actually so much of an issue that some airports are now making statements begging passengers to stop showing up to their flights drunk. This is generally a problem with late-night flights, as people will just show up directly from a party — but still! Wild that it must be said at all!
