The hardest part about being a firefighter isn’t necessarily the fire.
One under-discussed part about the job of a firefighter is just how much strength it takes. Not only must one be able to wear a bunch of heavy gear and lift any structural pieces that have fallen, but they must also be able to handle the hose itself — a difficult task given just how strong the water pressure of the hose is.
Managing to do so takes a fair bit of training, and if you *can’t* manage it, you end up making a fool of yourself like this person did:
