He’s not a firefighter; what else can he do?

It’s pretty wild how, in the U.S., we kind of just throw every emergency vehicle we have at a problem. If someone has a medical emergency, don’t be surprised if the cops, ambulances *and* firefighters show up — if you want to go big, go big, I guess.

But once everybody actually gets there, they often realize that there’s not much they can do in that specific situation. For example, this cop appeared at a burning building and discovered that the situation *didn’t* require someone who had a few weekends of dog-shooting practice. And so, he opted to shoot a few hoops, totally whiffing each one.
