A skilled pickpocket will make it difficult for you to even realize that you’ve been robbed until much later. You’ll reach for your phone, realize that it’s gone, and only then think back to that dude who aggressively brushed past you. Too late to do anything about it!

If you *do* manage to catch them in the act, they often work in teams, making it difficult to accost them without getting hit yourself. However, sometimes, somebody decides to get revenge — and makes a fool out of the pickpocket until the police can nab him.
