This is why you’ve gotta have a spotter.
The history of both skateboarding and BMX is one that involves a lot of scene-causing in public places. For much of the history of both sports, there weren’t dedicated places to perform these activities, and as a result, many of the sports’ most famous runs happened in everyday places like office parks and middle-school parking lots.
Usually, if you’re going to pull a stunt in one of these areas, you get a friend to stand around and make sure no one is about to get in your way. If you don’t do that, this can happen:
