In the U.S., you’re free to have a gun — how fun and dangerous is that?

However, while we have some of the most lax gun laws of any developed nation, that doesn’t mean it’s the Wild West out there. For example, if you have a machine gun, short-barreled rifle and shotgun, silencer or other “destructive device,” you’ve got to register it with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (still pretty crazy to me that we’ve just grouped all those things into one department).

Now, you may be thinking, “Hey! The government shouldn’t have access to information about my firearm!” Well, don’t worry about it. As this video shows, they don’t seem to be taking things too seriously, as people are registering their silencers under a whole bunch of (hilarious) fake names.
