There’s nothing they won’t try to pull against tenants, is there?

Anyone who has ever interacted with a landlord likely hates their landlord. The reason for this tension is simple: You have something they want (money), they have something you need (housing), but they don’t want to turn around and spend that money on actually making the housing habitable.

As a result, 90 percent of interactions between a landlord and tenant involve the tenant asking for basic human dignity and the landlord complaining that they don’t get enough money for, effectively, doing nothing.

If a landlord doesn’t get their way, they won’t just take it lying down. Instead, they’ll do everything they can to rip you off; for example, withholding your security deposit or, in the case of this woman, faking an assault claim, apparently unaware that they’re being recorded by a security camera.
