wtf
You know that guy that ruined your life and left you traumatized? Well, he’s here today!
The dropping of the atomic bomb was, to put it lightly, a pretty shitty move on our part. The introduction of the atomic weapon was controversial even at the time, and in the near-century since, we’ve never apologized for giving an entire country generational trauma.
Not only that, but we’ve pulled such dick moves as this clip, in which a Hiroshima survivor is introduced to the man who dropped the bomb on him.

In 1955, one of the most tone deaf pieces of television was broadcast in the US. During an episode of 'This Is Your Life' Reverend Kiyoshi Tanimoto, a Hiroshima survivor was ambushed on live tv and introduced to Capt. Robert Lewis, co-pilot and aircraft commander of the Enola Gay.
