It’s a lot of dimes and not a lot of money.

Given how bad inflation has gotten recently, the idea of carrying any change at all is pretty ridiculous. Trump did us all a favor earlier this year when he stopped production of the penny, but for the time being, we’re still handing out nickels, dimes and quarters like they aren’t worth more as raw material than they are as coins.

These coins cause problems for a whole host of reasons — not least of which is the fact that you can fairly easily spill them. A semitruck in northern Texas carrying $800,000 worth of dimes recently learned this after crashing, forcing workers to work tirelessly to pick up all eight million dimes.
