Seventy-one-year-old Congresswoman Debbie Dingell was caught sleeping while in a hearing.

It doesn’t feel great living in a gerontocracy. Despite much of our lives being dictated by technology (and the fact that the median income is around $40k), the people who are in charge of regulating it are not only too old to understand how anything works, they’re also too rich to care and too senile to make it through a hearing without shitting themselves.

We’ve already covered all of the people in government who have collapsed or had some sort of senior incident over the past year. Well, since then, people have only gotten older — and their fuck-ups more visible. For example, this congresswoman was caught snoozing while she was supposed to be listening to a hearing.
