Soccer Players Panic After Someone Kicks a Beehive in the Stands, Sending Bees Everywhere
Note to self: Don’t kick the beehive!
India’s Super Cup competition had to be paused over the weekend after a fan accidentally kicked a beehive. Not sure how that happens, but alright.
The bees in the hive, as they often do, got upset about being kicked, and so, they proceeded to fly all around the field, terrorizing both players and the referees. Some tried to cover themselves with towels, which didn’t work, while others attempted to flee.
Here’s what the moment looked like:

The relentless assault occurred in the 28th minute of the match. The assistant referee tried to escape the buzzing insects by lying on the pitch and covering himself with a towel — but it didn’t work. pic.twitter.com/2dQ3P2SoCw
