Screamo is out — in 2025, we’re singing from the throat!

This is throat-singing. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a type of singing that allows one to produce sounds from deep in the throat, creating an almost drone-like effect atop which singers can add additional melodies.

If you haven’t heard it before, it can be very beautiful. It can also spice up some of your favorite songs. For example, you’ve heard Linkin Park’s “Numb,” but how about you hear it again as though it was coming from the hills of Tuva?
