Still no progress on the whole “climate change” thing, though.

Yesterday, Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin project sent a bunch of famous women to space. On board were Katy Perry, Bezos’ fiancée (the things you do for your partner, amirite?), journalist Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics researcher and civil rights advocate Amanda Nguyen and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn, per ABC News.

So, how did it go? Well, fine, I guess. They’re all still alive, which is big. Perry also took a moment during her space flight to plug her tour’s setlist and offer some of the least inspired commentary about space that I’ve ever heard. But in fairness, I think anybody would be pretty mind blown by the experience to offer anything coherent.

What did we learn from all this? I don’t know, but it’s pretty cool that we’re stripping the ozone layer just so a few rich people can have a good time for 20 minutes.
