That’s gotta sting.

Given just how simple it is to go to the grocery store and buy honey, it’s easy to forget how absolutely insane the whole honey-making process is. While we’ve automated the process somewhat, at the end of the day, you’re still dealing with a bunch of animals that can, and will, sting you.

If you want a more “artisan” honey, you can’t just settle for the store-brand. Instead, you have to go with something like what’s occasionally called “rock honey.” This is honey made by bees who have made their hives either high up in trees or, as this video shows, in between rocks.

Oh yeah, the pros don’t like wearing beekeeping suits all that much, so they tend to rawdog it. I think I’m fine with the shit that comes in the bear-shaped container, thank you very much.
