Down for the count!

This is Big Brother VIP, an iteration of the show Big Brother set in Albania. If you’ve never met a person from Albania before, you might not understand just how popular this show is — a season of the show will regularly have over 150 episodes of several hours in length, and the program is basically required viewing for people both in the country and in the neighboring Kosovo. And, when shit goes down on the show, it’s a pretty major event, being covered in major newspapers instead of, you know, the news.

Recently, there was a dramatic encounter on the show between two contestants. As summarized by a user on Instagram, “The guys had constant beef with each other. The one that slapped the other guy just got eliminated from the show not being able to win $100k. The guy that got slapped was very set to open the elimination door for him, as a sign of humiliation for his loss. He slapped him saying there is no mf who can open that door to get me out of here. He got arrested later, risking a fine or up to 2 years in prison.”

While you may not be a fan of reality TV, this slap is truly something to behold.
