Looks like someone got tired of the homies dissing their girl.

It’s not often that you see Weezer in the headlines these days. Given what just happened, that’s probably for the best.

According to Rolling Stone, citing a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department, LAPD officers were searching for three misdemeanor hit-and-run suspects when they entered a residential area. It was at this point that they encountered the wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, a woman named Jillian Lauren — who greeted the officers with a handgun.

Despite multiple commands to drop her handgun, Shriner allegedly pointed the weapon at the officers, which resulted in a shootout. Shriner was struck and retreated into her home, but was later arrested and taken to the hospital. 

She’s since been charged with attempted murder — say it ain’t so!
